Mailing list
When you sign up for my free poetry pack, I’ll add you to my mailing list, I will use your name and email address to send you your poetry pack and occasional free newsletters. These may include poems, creative insights, events details and exclusive reader offers. I will never sell your details, nor pass them on to anyone else, unless I am required to by law.
I will keep your details until you unsubscribe from my mailing list. You can do this at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of my e-newsletter.
I manage my mailing list through MailChimp. You can read their privacy policy here. MailChimp is a US company and they store your personal data securely in the cloud. Your data may therefore be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA). By joining my mailing list, you agree that your information may be transferred, stored and processed outside the EEA.
Buying a book from my website
If you buy a book directly from me via the shopping cart on this website, I will use the personal data you supply for legitimate business purposes, such as processing your order and letting you know about future books. My shopping cart uses PayPal, and I do not keep your payment details on file myself. You can view PayPal’s privacy policy here.
PayPal is a US company, so your data may be transferred outside the EEA. By buying a book from this website, you agree that your information may be transferred, stored and processed outside the EEA.
I will keep your postal address long enough to fulfil your order successfully. I may keep your name and email address for much longer, so that I can let you know when I write a new book. (Creativity takes time!)
Please note: I will only send you regular e-newsletters if you select this option during the checkout process. You can unsubscribe from these at any time using the link on the bottom of the e-newsletter. For more information, see the Mailing list section above.
Your rights
You have the right to ask me to update or remove your details from my records at any time. You also have the right to ask me for details of the personal data I hold about you. You can do this by sending me an email or writing to me at the address below.
Buying a book from another online store
If you follow links from my website and buy a book or audiobook from another online store (such as Amazon.co.uk, Bandcamp or others), this store will have full responsibility for processing and fulfilling your order.
I will not receive any personal data you supply them, except when you choose to sign up to my mailing list from Bandcamp. (In this case, I will receive your name and email address only and process it as described in the Mailing list section.) You can read Bandcamp’s privacy policy here.
Affiliate advertising
I am an author affiliate of Bookshop.org, whose fees support local independent bookshops. If you buy books from Bookshop.org that are linked from my website, I may earn a small commission. You can read Bookshop.org’s privacy policy here.
Cookies
Cookies are small files that are stored in your browser’s directories when you visit a website. My website may place functional cookies on your browser. These stop the website breaking and enable you to complete transactions such as buying a book. I also use third-party service providers (such as Bookshop.org and others) who may place cookies on your browser. To find out more about these cookies and how to manage or delete them, please read my cookie policy.
