When you buy a book from my website

Shipping

I can only ship to UK addresses at the moment. (International customers: please click here for links to online retailers worldwide.) Books are delivered by Royal Mail. Postage costs are listed on the product page and applied at the checkout. Estimated delivery times are listed below. (These may be longer in rural areas, the Highlands and Islands, the Scilly Isles and the Isle of Man.)

First class: 2-4 days from ordering in mainland UK.
Second class: 4-7 days from ordering in mainland UK.

Cancellation

If you order an unsigned book, you have the right to cancel this order within 14 days of delivery. (Please note: this does not apply to signed or signed and personalised books. These items have been customised to order and cannot be cancelled.)

You must let me know that you wish to cancel your order for an unsigned book within 14 days of delivery. You can send me an email or use this online cancellation form to do so. You must then return the book to me, in its original condition, at your own cost. Please send all returns by post to: Vicky Arthurs, Cedarbird, Unit 75149, PO Box 4336, Manchester, M61 0BW, United Kingdom.

Once I receive the book, I will process your refund within 14 days. Provided the book is still in its original condition, I will refund the full amount you originally paid me using the same payment method you chose at the checkout.

Damaged goods

I take care to ensure that all books arrive in perfect condition. In the unlikely event your book is damaged in transit, please email me within 30 days of placing your order, attaching photographs of both the damage to the book and the packaging it arrived in, and I’ll arrange a replacement.

Privacy

When you buy a book directly from me via the shopping cart on this website, I will use the personal data you supply for legitimate business purposes, such as processing your order and letting you know about future books. My shopping cart uses PayPal, and I do not keep your payment details on file myself. You can view PayPal’s privacy policy here.

PayPal is a US company, so your data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA). By buying a book from this website, you agree that your information may be transferred, stored and processed outside the EEA.

I will keep your postal address long enough to fulfil your order successfully. I may keep your name and email address for much longer (up to seven years), so that I can let you know when I write a new book. (Creativity takes time!) You can ask me to remove your details from my records at any time by sending me an email or writing to me at the address below.

Please note: I will only send you my regular author e-newsletter if you select this option during the checkout process.
